I pull into work this morning and open the doors and the whole shop was a disaster with these giant dehumidifiers all over running. I called another guy who hadn't come in yet and he said the roof blew off the shop friday and then all the rain got in. The gutters are gone and part of the cinder block wall above the roof line fell. There was 2" of water. The machines are all rusted and I am betting all the electronics for the CNC will have to be checked. We have a wood floor from front to back and now the whole shop area is buckled and messed up. I know by me on the southside the storms weren't that bad. This is on hwy100 by mr.p's. What a way to start the week.

I hope you have insurance !!!

if someone knew wouldnt they try and cover up the machinery or was it just too late?

The boss has insurance on it. It happened sometime around 5pm friday or so. We get out at noon on fridays during the summer so no one was there. He got a call from the cops saying the roof flew off and by the time someone got there about 5:30 the shop was already flooded. They got a tarp on the CNC but it was too late as the controller box on the arm already had water sitting on it. I don't have any pics of the standing water just how it was when I walked in this morning. You can see somewhat in the pics the floor is all buckled(2nd pic bottom right shows it) and the rust on top of the bandsaw, planers etc. Everything under and around the workbenches got thrown on horses as its all trashed. Alot of the stuff on the walls is water damaged as well. Just the main work area was affected.
