trouble running classic games on XP system

games like sim city 2000 and the incredible machine... both games start up and run just fine... its my mouse im having trouble with. once the game starts the mouse seems to get trapped in a small box that gets smaller and smaller as if you happen to move the mouse toward the lower right-hand side of the screen...

anyone ever encounter this with older games... its a usb mouse btw.

Never had that happen. Is it a basic USB mouse or is it something that requires a special driver?

I would update all drivers as far as you can (might not be far on XP, but you don't know til you try), especially video card and chipset drivers and go from there.

Run in compatibility mode, put windows 98. also, fucking google it, I bet there is a patch or some shit out there to make it run.

already did google it... before i posted here infact... as you can tell, i came up with nothing... thats why i made the thread...

decided to use dosbox to run simcity2k... TIM wont work in dosbox though :(

no biggie though... was just bored and decided to take a walk down memory lane.
