So as most probably know, I had a very large tree limb fall on my Crown Vic and do damage to the roof. How do you go about figuring out what number an insurance company uses before it would be considered total.

Now I doubt that my car will be totaled but the question came up and now has me curious. I know usually when you start talking roof damage the prices usually start to escalate when fixing the car.

So if anybody knows how this stuff works, please share the info with me.

Thanks, Tom

Nope estimate comes tomorrow morning. I got it to the shop right before they closed Friday night so they could at least keep it inside over the weekend. I should know better by tomorrow afternoon.

i think i remember hearing something like if the damage is more than 70% of the value of the car they might total it. thats what i heard. not sure how accurate that is. im sure every insurance company is different. good luck.

Estimate is $2360 bucks. Lots of repainting from deep scrapes more than any actual body work. Lots of little dents etc.
