Spectra chrome offers some packaed setups. I've looked into their system and it's pretty pricey. For a ready to spray kit they're askin close to $10K. The supplies are pretty expensive. To make any money at it a person would have to get $4 to $5 per sq foot. I don't know how that compares to plating.

The neat thing is that you can chrome anything. Spectra Chrome did a chrome body for Grave Digger.

This is similar to the Alclad II process we use on model cars. First a shiny smooth black ENAMEL paint has to be applied to the part to be chromed, then the Alclad is applied and the part is as close to chrome as you can get depending on your skill. Tamiya gloss black seems to give best results.

I've used that stuff. It provides amazing results but it is easy to fudge a project.

A shop near here shot a chopper with that stuff, to me it looked no better then the eastwood liquid chrome, more like a silver pearl then chrome.

I think the stuff in the op looks like chrome but with only a clear over it it limits the applications because of durability
