gas mileage can be a little on the low side. 14.8ish in my g/fs right now. havent driven it in the snow yet but have heard a couple different opinions. with snow tires they're awesome, also heard with the stock 20's they can be pretty damn good as well. it moves pretty good, fun to drive.

yeah they are decent in snow. I did it last year on the factory 20's. as long as you have decent tread its fine. Snow tires and they are tanks.
My truck has been great. Had it since 12k and almost 40k on it now. had a seal in the rear end replaced, and a front axle seal. runs great. Interested in a 2008 Jewel Red AWD?

I looked into them a while back but like stated above, they get horrible gas mileage. Like 15-16 at best down the hwy.

Mine gets dick for MPG about 14 with the wife DD'ing it and best i saw was 17 and it really should be getting premium. Now some may argue with me on this, but i think these things absolutley suck camel dick in the snow with the stock 20's. They will go straight fine but forget cornering or braking. I bought a set of 17" steel spares and put a truck tire on them and then its perfect. my '08 had the posi unit replaced at 5k miles, and now at 24, its still mint. i know where going to be looking at selling our 2008 AWD 1SS red jewel too here soon.

But 17-18 doesnt happen unless strictly all highway driving. mixed comes back at about 14 and even worse if all stop and go.

07 3ss awd tbss here. Bought with 16k on it in 11/08, now have 33k on it. flawless. only thing I've had to do is change fluids. the 20" wheels with oem goodyear rsa tires blow major cock in the snow. this coming winter I hope to have some winter wheels/tires for it. Gas mileage on straight city driving comes in around 12mpg. It's thirsty but fun.

Just got rid of ours for a Touareg TDI. It was great, and decent in the snow. We had a 2WD one and didn't want to chance it this winter with a kid on the way.

I had the same experience as Tom, the mileage sucked. Only problem I ever had was the rock chips, dealership did the re-paint and clear film TSB.

Tom, added the LS1 efans and the mileage when up about a 1-1.5 mpg. Check pm's when you get a chance..thanks!

Fly5150 (dave) has the magnaflow on his, get in touch with him to see what it sounds like....ebay is the best place to purchase, definitely cheaper than any other vendor I have found. Some say it is quieter than the corsa, but is a nice stainless upgrade with all mandrel bent pipes from the stock catback.
