Good news for the Brewers.

Probably figures he can retire a Card if they can't fix him.

It wouldn't surprise me. Cards have a coaching staff.

Even at his best he was very mediocre....so turn him around to a solid #4 starter? :) Only time he was good was the 06' postseason.

Who knows, they have one of the best pitching coaches if not the best, he might be serviceable for a few starts.

I wonder how much the cards signed him for.

Don't they just pick up his existing contract from Milwaukee?

No sir, sadly the Brewers are having to eat that. That's one of the reasons they waited so long to dump him, they owed him so much. That was guarnteed money.

As far as I know, the brewers have to pay him the 12.5 mil, minus whatever the cards are paying him, which is probably league min.

and of course he did pitch well last night. Only 4 innings, but 1 run, 4 strikeouts, and hit a double.
