it's a stone throw away from me, wish i had a dog!:crying maybe one day.

I love dog parks, but hate that some people bring their pets that should NOT be at a dog park.

Example -

Why bring your 3 pitbulls that are on chain link leeshes, are pulling you around foaming at the mouth at all of the other nice, friendly dogs?

I mainly have an issue with children in dog parks. I went to one for the first time in Waukesha, only to have a bunch of elementary kids run up to Lola (my Great Dane) as she was running around with another dog and try to "catch" her. Luckily, she is a natural around kids, but when she is in full play mode with another dog, it's hard for her to get back into reality and aware of her size.

I'm skeptical how my lab will do at the dog park. Usually he is so excited to play that he doesn't listen to a thing I say when he's around other dogs. :(

Stopped there today on the way back from WBD. Very nice area, but we drove right by it at first coming from the north (there is a white sign, but it's one of those poster kinds).

Lola had fun running around. Unfortunately there is not a sectioned off "large breed" and "small breed" area, so the little yippy dogs went right for Lola's feet as soon as we got there.
