cant burn DVDs

im trying to backup our family photos but neither of my DVD-roms will read or write the DVDs. is there some sort of program that ive gotta use to get this to work?

Get a copy of Nero. It has a program where you import or drag an drop if you wish and will burn onto any type of media. Worth the $$ for it, you get lifetime updates. I think I paid $70 for 3 computers.

Are your drives still reading other DVD's normally?

Try installing the latest driver, or uninstalling/reinstalling it.

yes... they both read DVDs just fine.

ill try nero... i might actually have a copy laying around somewhere.
