looking at having an early 80s trans rebuilt for the Z. Does anyone know of any locals that would touch an older Datsun transmission? I know of a few trans rebuilders in the area, but it seems like its all domestic....so I figured I would check here before making a few calls.

Thanks

I don't know if he works on older stuff, but you could try Tim Zimmer, he's twicks69 on here.

Shoot me a PM with transmission identification info, so I can find a service manual for it. If I can get the info, then it is just tracking down the parts to rebuild it.

Currently, do you know what is wrong with it? Is it a refresh, or repairing broken stuff? Known upgrades for transmission?

My website is www.tmzperformance.com for my contact info.

Thanks,

Tim
