I got a 2001 Pontiac Aztek and need a driver side power seat motor.. The forward/backward motor..

I have searched high and low but can't find one for an Aztek.. But I suspect that motor is unaversal and not just limited to the Aztek.. Can someone look this up and get me a part number? And what other cars use this motor so I can look under those cars..

Told ya.. I guess I will just call the dealership..

And yes, there is one here and there.. A guy at work was going to trade it in for a new car and they were going to give him dick.. I mean like nothing because they know they won't be able to sell it.. So I did what any good co-worker would do, I offered $100 more and he took it..

It is ugly in every way but for the price that we got it for we will driver it.. A google search revealed it made the top 50 most ugly cars ever made..

Do you have a price? What other cars to you think use this motor? I have only found two Azteks in junkyards around Milwaukee.. But if a Grand Prix or some other car uses it then I bet I can find one of those more popular cars..

Can you see what the part number is for a 01 Grand Prix? Maybe they are the same.. Or maybe a GM truck?

I know that GM parts direct was $436 & change!
The dealer will be more....
It looks like it comes from all the GM FWD crossovers. 2001-2005 venture, rendezvous, silhouette, & Aztek.
Not sure it dont go to anything else but thats what pops up.

Might want to see if you can repair the motor that's on there. Most times its a bad brush to commutator connection. Only if you can take it apart without breaking it, they dont really make these motors to be serviced. They usually stamp the whole housing together.

Junkyard? Might help to find out what other vehicles it crosses over too to increase the parts donor list.

You could swap in a manual seat track and be done with the current and future headaches, just a thought.....:)

or go on car-part.com and look up like a front bumper or something unique to the aztek, just to see which yards have one, then call 'em up and ask how much for the power seat motor since you can't look it up on there.

Everytime I found one at a junk yard they want to sell me the whole seat for $125-175..

take the seat and trash the seat after you yank the motor lol
