How bad did I hurt myself. (pics inside)

Long story short, I was walking out of my bathroom yesterday when my foot caught the corner of the wall. I have stubbed my toe many times in the past but not like this. This was way more pain.

I sucked it up, went to work last night with it still hurting and when I came home, kicked off my shoes to find this.

It still hurts today 24 hours later. Did I break my little toe or something else? As you can also see it swelled up pretty well also.

That baby's broke. I did the same thing a few weeks ago, similar situation. I did the 2 end toes, the "ring" toe was actually pointing outward so I had to pop it back to where I thought I should be. Dont bother with a doctor, its not like they can put a cast on a pinky toe, lol. It sucks and it hurts like hell, especially wearing shoes. I found that my steel toe boots were more comfortable with the rigid toe in the boot instead of the soft shoes touchng the broken toes. Good luck, get used to walking funny for a few days.

Yep, don't bother with a doctor at all. Put it where you think it needs to be and grin and bear it.

Certainly broken. Off chance of dislocation? Little toe generally do well to leave it alone...if it continues to hurt, you may want to be put in a board shoe or immobilizer...in which case you'd go to the Dr or podiatrist for.

no shit!!! i just did that last week too. not as black and blue but damn that looks like it hurts

That happened to me in a football game. The whole right side of my right foot turned black and blue.

Kinda hurt for a while. Not much you can do for a broken pinky toe.:thumbsup

I tripped over the coffee table a couple weeks ago and broke the toe next to the pinky.
Sucks but oh well..

I did the SAME thing about a year ago. Bruising was a little darker. Didn't take long and it was good to go.

Suck it up Sally. I've done it to mine 3 times now (as you can tell by how bent it is).... twice on the same foot one month apart.

most likely broken but impossible to tell without x-rays. if its dislocated, it needs to be put back into place. go to your family doctor on tuesday, and get some x-rays. post them up here, and i'll let you know what to do from there. most likely just a hard soled shoe until you're comfortable in a normal shoe again
