I probably shouldn't find it amusing that all those people thought Buick, Pontiac, and Saturn should go because they're badge engineered but thought that Mercury should stay even though Buick sold more than Mercury-Lincoln-Volvo combined... were wrong.

Sad to see Merc go.....similar to what GM did to Oldsmobile....kicked them to the curb and brought in Saturn (cough....gay....cough...), meanwhile Pontiac gets away with such atrocities as the Aztek, and Chevy gets away with, well, being Chevy. Merc owners, I feel your pain. Fear not though, your brand is forever immortalized in the form of chopped '49 Merc's, Gassered Early-60's Comets, and '67-'70 Cougars.
