the person that buys em is probably the same kind of person that goes around cutting up license plates to get a sticker.

why would he pay all that for them when he could just keep stealing them?

isn't it only $75 to reregister the car? hahaha.

I could have made a fortune if i would have just stolen them from the dealership

Maybe/maybe not, however a black market does exist for license plate stickers.....

In Michigan they make it damn near impossible to steal stickers, plus they put your license plate number on them. But, I suppose that's a 21st century thing to do.

Why buy them when people just drive my apartment and steal license plates off vehicles for the stickers

I've already had the sticker ripped off of my plate twice. The second time, they managed to only get small pieces of it. I have since refused to place the '11 sticker on it. The fuzz can run my plates and see that it is up to date.

Michigan is better at everything I should go back there.

I don't know why people would put the stickers on when they shouldn't , when your plates are run they know the stickers not legit and now you have another ticket that more than the cost of renewing your plates.

Yes but NOT having an up to date sticker is like driving with an “I am driving illegally” sticker on the rear bumper. The chances of getting stopped are much less when your registration appears to be legit.....:thumbsup

i suppose when u don't have a license, a legal vehicle, and now valid insurance.... it would be better to have the sticker just so it isn't blatantly obvious ur chit is bitched... they can't legally run ur plates unless ur doing something suspicious afterall

LOL, I got caught when I was a kid. A buddy of mine accidently got 2 stickers in his little envelope when he registered his car so I bought one of them for $20. About 4 months later I got pulled over and I tried to argue the fact that since I had the current sticker I obviously had to have registered my car, how else could I have a sticker. They asked for proof of payment, of course I said I paid cash and tossed the reciept.

I fought the law and the law won. LMAO, ahhh, how I long for 1992 again.

It's not just Michigan. It's most of the United States.

New York and New Jersey don't use license plate stickers. The registration stickers are in the lower driverside of the windshield, on the inside of the glass.

Got my stickers stolen while parked in the structure at Marquette two weeks after I put them on. Then just drove around with the old sticker until it was time to renew my plates again and never got pulled over for it. Dumb.

Yes, but as stated, if you CAN'T register said car for some reason, then the $80 may seem worth it.
