I just had a "rebuilt" stock rearend installed on my car. Now I am not sure if the gears are howling or its the bearings. Anybody know of a decent shop/person for this? It starts to howl on decel around 20mph. There is no grinding and it accelerates fine. Car is a 1988 Firebird with a swapped rear from a 91 Z28. "Rebuilt" with Motive 3.73 and posi unit. I am not very knowlegable in gears either..
