used to have an 85 ramcharger...still miss the old girl. 318, 2wd, 2.94 gears...my grandfather had bought it new, which it went to my dad when my grandfather passed, and then on to me when I turned 16...sadly had to let the thing go w/ 315,000 miles on it...nearly zero oil pressure, but still ran and started everytime, w/o fail!

welcome to bcm!

2wd...

It performed generally good until around 225,000...then it started to get a little tired. Then it started to get REALLY tired around 285,000....

My initial plans was to put a stout 360 in it's place, but sadly it was really rotting away and I was a little too poor at the time to try and save it. So the engine went into the valiant I've purchased for 350 bucks and viola, a legend in my own mind, lol.

But that thing took me on numerous road trips to FL, CO, concerts, etc...we'd cram 8-9 of us in for a brewer game or concert, dumb stuff like that. Loved the road trips because It'd cruise along easily at 75mph...but at those speeds, it would only pull down 16mpg at best. Best ever tank on a road trip we went 618 miles on 32 gallons for a 19+ avg...when my dad had it, he had a couple tanks that approached 20...

A BIG part of why I got the little red express was because of my fondness for my old ramcharger...those were in the mix for what I was looking for when I was getting rid of the coronet....

Met a guy at Oscar's last week that's also has a ramcharger...he has a 91 though.
