It was participant judgeing, while not "rigged" per say, voting by large groups or clubs can "sway" the vote totals. The 3 cars that one in my class (94 and up modified) were:

1st: S197 Silver V6 that had lots of chrome and GTR Cobra badgeing, with Lambo doors for effect. I knew this car was going to win before it's name was called.

2nd: Me

3rd: Lime Green S197 with a retro theme. Redline tires, old school batmobile looking rims, 289 (?????) badges on the front fenders, and, just for effect, the 3M stick on hood pins.......on the trunk. No lie.

Those of you who know Dave Hadtke, with the red Mach 1, carbon fiber hood, blower, enough supsension to choke a horse, ect., was also in my class. Now his car is spotless, nicely done, just a great example of a high power, well done stang, but he lost to the above cars. Is it fair? I didn't think so, but the particpants did I guess. I honestly thought it would be the Cobra GTR (lol), and then him and me in some order. I don't think this show was rigged, some people just don't have good taste. I mean it's obvious, my car won 2nd for God's sake:rolf

I've seen that car at the Griffin Show. The guy seemed a little "off". At least he has the sense to keep that trunk pinned down. I hate it when that pops up. :)

I too remember talking to that guy at last year's Griffin Icebreaker, but don't recall seeing him this year. Did see a little, well, out there.

Anyone get pics of this ride?

Geez, you guys aren't any better than he is, you just have more weirdos in your posse. Lighten up, who the hell puts a white blower on their car? Who brings a V6 to a car show? Who spends more on a GT than a GT500?

...and he's a little off? :goof

Dave and I are already committed to Lambo doors on our rides, but I one upped him and ordered the 3M hood pins for my trunk:rolf

Or hermetically seals his car for the winter. :)
