View Full Version : Blacked out C6, no badges

Had a few runs with this corvette last night on Good Hope. Car was slighly faster than mine on the "small" tune, which is odd as I normally do not have an issue with normal Vettes. Sounded great, looked pretty nice to. For the GM people on the forum, what do stock C6's put to the ground, and what do they normally run? This was a stick car, and he didn't have any traction issues which suprised me.

Anyways, nice car, nice runs:thumbsup

LS2's - 380 to the wheels - mid 12s @ 115 LS3's - 410 to the wheels and 115+ and low 12's 6 speed cars deff trap higher and Z51 cars have better gearing too. So you have to know what your looking for to b able to pin point if its '08 + or '07 older and the drilled rotors are the Z51 tell-tale.

Yep, drilled rotors, black almost 5 spoke-ish type wheels, the spokes were not solid though, split spoke style.

That's them, but they were black. It could have been a Z06, I was looking hard for badges, but every single badge was shaved. Quick Vette, and he sure didn't mind hitting the rev limiter! Much better driver than most Vettes I have come across, or it was just set up very well. No tire spin at all:wow

I hope he chimes in, I want to know what that car runs:thumbsup The only run I can say I "beat him" was a 3 honk run and I was all happy....until we talked a little down the road and he said he didn't know that 3 honks was a "go" signal, then I was :crying. The last run we had was our "best", and it was pretty fing even. Awesome time though to find a Vette driver that can drive:thumbsup

Must have been a good driver...no wheel spin with a 6-speed. Or just the right amount of power for the tire :)

That is my car in the pic....but my car is a automatic. A couple people have told me they have seen another car like mine runnin' around...must be the guy stanman encountered.

Looked VERY similar to that car, like a clone. Maybe one day one of my many clones out there can run you and you can come on here and talk about it, like Bizzaro World.

There's a all-black C6-Z06 that is badgeless that I see parked in the Sentry parking lot at Meadowbrook/US18 in Waukesha. I think he lives somewhere towards Delafield/Wales as I've seen him go up US18 a couple times. He's got several different wheels.

There is also an all-black badgeless GrandSport with split-spoke flat black wheels and painted black calipers that I've seen up and down Meadowbrook and saw parked at the Walgreens once.
