Nephew needs car

My nephew needs a car. His GF got a job far from the house and he needs a car to go to his job. I don't know what kind of money they have but I think his mom will help out. Anyone have a lead on a cheap basic car?

got a subie outback wagon for cheap. Its got dents and some rust, but it starts everytime. It has a new torque converter (was a recall due to hesitations, but it still hesitates. Has a 1 sec hesitation when leaving from a stop. Leather interior, I believe it has heated seats, power everything else.

The problem; it needs a water pump. It has never been fully overheated, but it does get hot after about 70miles (in one stint), the temp gauge bounces a bit.
