any one own a Chevrolet Corsica or know any thing about them.
my gf is getting a 94 one and im going back to stock for my cat back system so i was going to give her my raven muffler and put probably put a 2.25 stainless pipe from the cat back on her car and probably an intake for better gas milage and stuff. any one know if that will get any more hp outa the car.

Sorry to say this, but a civic is easier and cheaper to get hp out of. Other than that, you might need a custom exhaust, but you can rig up your own intake from some pre-bent exhaust tubing and a cone filter . Mabey the head could be ported, but for that amount of money, buy an old 5.0.

its an lt thats the engen they have but fwd i guess

The 3.1 v6 was available in the corsica, it is a pretty decent motor. You cannot get alot of power out of them. They are like 140 hp stock :rockwoot: I don't know what you are planning on doing to the car, but an open exhaust gives it a very nice exhaust note, even if it is a V6. There are other bolt on parts available for that engine, like a computer chip, bullfrog performance camshafts. I believe there are even headers through rksport. The transmission is the weakest part of the car. The car if taken care of will make a great daily driver. And with the right parts will surprise alot of "ricers".

i have a 94 Z24 5speed same motor though 160hp 180lb-tq there are minimal bolt ons for these things unless u want to tear into the motor i have a straight pipe on mine its sounds good to me not like a buzz or nothing and it has torque steer like a SOB but they are peppy and a good daily driver at that

i wanted to put a custom turbo on it. how bad is the tranny? worse then what the 7th gen civics can take (200) tq

Not one B.S. project but 2!!!!!!!! why don't you swap the motor out of the Corsica and drop it into your Civic? Then turbo it!!!!

The 3T40E in those cars and J bodies are notoriously weak...

They do make electronic shift improvers for them... thats about it... you can put an auxillary cooler on it to help it if its gonna get beat alot.

They can run low 16's in a J body, but the L body.... i think it will stay in the high 16s low 17s bracket regardless.

Just drive it like grandma would and maintain the 20 plus mpg

yellow wagon you know nothing about what im working on and what im dealing with for my kit that im getting for the vic so f off. just keep thinking that your soooo funny when im sitting here out 2 grand for a down payment on a kit when the shop that every ones getting there stuff from basicly stops comunicating with every one. i think if you where out 2 grand and did not know what was going on you would feal like **** so back the f off.
