Hey guys, now that I have new wheels/tires on the car I figured I would post a few shots...

They are 20" wheels with Nitto Invo tires.

Some of the OEM wheels look pretty nice.

Those wheels aren't OEM... It took me weeks to find a set that "fit" the car looks wise... Glad you like them. I figured all chrome would have looked too "bling" on the car.

Actually, the wheels for the MKS are the same size/offset/bolt-pattern as a 2008 Mustang GT.

I'm not sure that I love the wheels, but the car looks nice. Gotta love black!

Yeah, wheels, as well as everything else, are all pretty subjective...

The black is actually called Tuxedo Black Metallic, which is a black with pieces of ground-up colored glass in the clearcoat which causes it to have a pretty cool non-solid-black look to it in the light. Does a real nice job of hiding dust/dirt that would just make an all solid-black car look like ass...

I wouldn't mind painting the T/A the same color (I know, sacrelidge for having a Lincoln color on a Pontiac), as it would take a lot less stress out of being meticulous about how the T/A looks...

Actually, you haven't seen it in the last few years... Only goes out if it is detailed, which is a PITA...

Before that it was always in some sort of stage of construction...

Yeah, I still have the Camaro... I have driven it quite a bit more than the T/A in the past couple of years...

To get an idea of how big the MKS is compared to the other cars:

I know they aren't OEM but I meant that some of the OEMs do look pretty nice from when I did a google image search on the MKS. :)

Ahh... Gotcha... Yeah, the design on the stock 19s are a pretty good match for the car. Not excited about the original 20" MKS design, but the newer MKS-Sport design is much better.

The wheels I originally wanted are the Lincoln Accessories 20" chrome split 5-spoke design, but at $2000 for just the wheels, then you have to buy thier lugs, thier centercaps, thier TPMS sensors (heard that the aftermarket valve-stem type won't fit due to the design as they expect you to use the Ford band-type TPMS sensors) it was cost prohibitive.

I ended up picking up a set of 4 brand new valve-stem TPMS sensors for $132 shipped for all 4 and a Ford TPMS activator (works on most other TPMS sensors as well) for $38 shipped... Hell of a lot better than $480-600 for the Ford ones brand new with bands/brackets, or even Tire Racks price of $380+shipping. Hell the TPMS activator was a steal for only $38, as the cheapest I could find an aftermarket one is like $105+ship... The ford one is like 2.5"x2"x.5" and workes great. Retrained the TPMS in the car in about 2 minutes.

Now, when I get snow tires put on the stock 19s I can just activate those when I switch them in winter.

Not rivets, but chrome rim bolts, ie, for a 3-piece look...

The wheels are a 1-piece design, Hyper-Silver Dark with a Machined Lip...

That's a good looking car and I think the wheels really set it off. Good choice :thumbsup

Thanks guys... Yeah, was a bit of a shock buying a newer vehicle after about 10 years... I was stuck back in the early to mid 90s for a while. :goof

Luckily I have zero interest in doing much else to the car... I did the wheels/tires, tinted the windows, put in lighted door sill plates, got a new drivers door panel as well as a replacement steering wheel for when this one gets worn, and really the only other thing I was considering was adding in HD Radio... There stereo is so good I have no interest in changing anything speaker/headunit wise, and I really only plan to probably sound-deaden the rear deck and part of the trunk to reduce resonances and vibrations. I did pick up the factory service/wiring manuals to make sure I can checkout anything that may arise, as well as to be able to pull apart the interior to get to the rear deck to sound deaden it.

Other than that, this one just gets driven. I must admit, I am getting spoiled with the keyless ignition and security system. I am thinking I may have to add a transponder system to the T/A that is like it... Then again, I have to keep telling myself that I am done with the T/A and to leave it alone. ;)

I like the wheels on it. However that car's so big that even 20" wheels don't look that big... :rolf And anything bigger would look gaudy...

Good choice imo!
