Interesting, but I can't help but think Billy-Bob and Jimbo's motor oil in a bowl demonstration isn't taking into account all the factors of an open sea.

That is, as they say, uncommon sense.

It couldn't hurt to put a bunch out there...though they probably couldn't get all the slicks out there, much of the hay is bound to get carried by current/winds and would eventually mix in there. Couldn't hurt anymore than the current slicks already are.

I think the amount of hay that you would need is the problem, That was a pretty good size clump of hay for about 1/2 quart of oil, and theres how many thousand gallons out there to be cleaned up?

Have you seen the south though? There are hay farms everywhere down south. I think it is a very ingenious solution to this mess! I wish they would give it a try! Would be awesome to see if it really worked!

Oh yeah, I agree, its deff worth a shot, better than the sit back and just hope it gets better or bitch about whos going to pay for it that seems to be going on right now.
