Like the top of a skateboard. I'd go to RIDE and get a piece, but I'm looking for a much larger area. Like the stuff you see on steps of a wood deck. Just anything that will provide a sticky surface in all types of weather.

Ace hardware on Sunset in Waukesha, next to Pick N Save has 3M backed non skid. It is 4 inches wide and you buy it by the foot. It is something like $2.89 a foot, so it can get a little pricey if you need alot. But if it is for steps it would work well. It is black in color. I would imagine any Elliots Ace would have it also.

He'd need an account to order from there, which wouldn't be all that hard as I'm sure half of this board has access to one. But just saying.

Maybe true on McMaster but anyone can go to a local Grainger store.

Negative, Grainger will only sell to someone with a business account. This was the case when I stopped there a few months ago……

If you haven't found anything yet, the stuff on a skateboard is called grip tape. Any skateboard shop will have it (Phase II, etc.)
