Wow, unbelievable work. At the end of the thread it mentions he charges $75 and hour labor and it said he spent 48 Hrs on the car. So not counting any charges for supplies, the time alone puts this at a $3600 detail.

Wow, a regular detail is a pain staking process, I can't imagine doing that, don't know if I would have the patience for that.

That and I wouldn't want to drive the car after that detailed of a job.

When they are accustomed to working on Ferraris and Lambos, I am sure that the owner has no problem paying someone to clean their car to this level for $3K-4K.

Damn good job with excellent details that will provide helpful to any car owner wanting to clean up their ride!

Holy hog nuts. I take better care of my 17 year old Town Car than that dude does his Lambo.

And why you trolling Lambo sights anyway?

My shit must be hella dirty.... I've never heard of 95% of the products they used to clean that thing.

What's funny is that the detail job probably added significant value to the car...let's say the guy was trying to sell his car in the condition we saw in the first few post...he'd probably get 10-15G less than he could have gotten after the detail...perhaps more considering the prices those things go for, lol. So if he got charged 3-5G, that' a good investment (well, if he was selling it at least).

Very impressive.

Threads like this dishearten me though...I'd never have the time nor patience to pull something like that off on any of my vehicles...and then it just makes it seem as if why even try anything then? lol....

He took WAY more steps then he needed to, and I bet he spent 4-5 hours alone setting up and taking photos and re-doing parts of the job due to drying chemicals and that sort of thing.

Funny how detail places claim rediculous hours on a job like this when the car really wasn't that bad. You could have wet sanded and buffed the entire car in the amount of time it took him to wash it 12 times. Meh, car turned out nice but I think this guys head is bigger then his internet persona makes you believe.

The crazy part is he said he did this level of detail on someones Honda SUV, the job was worth half the price of the car...

I thought dish soap was not a good idea when washing a car?

This thread reminds me a guy who would never spray his car with a hose, with fear of water getting in the jams and causing rust, so he always went over the car with a wet towel.

i think your not supposed to cause it takes off the wax? but in this case it works. fresh surface.

Dish soap removes wax since its pretty harsh, if you use dish soap your supposed to at least wax if not clay bar and wax afterward. That's why they make special car wash soap.
