I had an F250 and hated it so I sold it. Not ready to buy another truck until car is paid for. I will need to rent a truck a few times this summer. Were can I rent one that I can pull a trailer with? Trailer is a 24' 7,500 pounds loaded.

Pretty much any car rental place will rent trucks with trailer hitches. Last year when I was in a rental for some service work for my car, there was a Nissan Titan that was in the lot ready for rental. This was at enterprise on hwy 100 and national.

I believe you can rent a truck through menards that has a hitch on it, too.

Last time I rented the truck at Menards it was a F150 with the 6 cyl in it. Might have some issues pulling that much weight and being able to get out of its own way. :rolf

I also rented a full size pickup from Enterprise once, I got a Chevy half ton ext cab and it had No towing package and the tiny V8. Seems like it will be hit or miss and you would get whatever they have laying around. Doesn't make it very easy to plan something like this.

Does it have to be a pickup? I wonder if you rent a Suburban thru enterprise if they would have the towing package on them?

Typically they rent larger trucks with mileage restrictions. Enterprise said 1000 miles/week +.29/mile after.

yeah most of the trucks were .15/mile when i was looking to go pick up the bike in Indiana. Definitely sucked for that.

Most of the rentals just don't come with hitches. I remember someone saying that the trailblazers did, but that won't be able to tow what you are looking to tow I'm assuming.

Might just be cheaper to rent an RV and atleast have a place to sleep instead of hotel.

I know certain UHauls have econoline vans or F150's for rent. Not sure if they have towing packages or not.

Most rental vehicles you "can't" use for towing. Just FYI.

I am certain the only place renting trucks capable of towing your trailer is U-haul or Penske.....
