We started looking at donor bodies...most peoples idea of "rust free" means the cab sheetmetal is not contacting frame yet :) Mine is still holding up, getting a 1996 mpfi swap in upcoming months from a donor 5.2 van.

That will be very cool...and will make a huge difference in the power dept. Though you'll have to change a couple things, make sure you swap the magnum exhaust manifolds with it...you can make your current manifolds work, no prob...but they'll eat up a good 20hp and 2 mpg vs. the magnum type manifolds.

What are you going to do about the trans? Will the ecu run the engine w/o input from the computer controlled trans and various speed sensors?

Drill a hole in my 727 housing to accept the 5.2 mag crank sensor, use the mag manifolds and cobble an exhaust together. ECU is underhood, ez swap and I'll drop the efi pump in my steel tank, pretty strait forword swap looking at Alldata.

Fuel milage is the only driving force, my 360 carb setup pulls like hell while it knocks.
The 360 is getting 7-8mpg and the van mid teens as far as I can tell, 50% increase!
