Anyone ever do one of these? Is it a total PITA? I've read a few places that there's just an access pannel in the side of the trans, and others I've read that you have to remove the trans pan, and valve body...

Anyone have any idea?

Thanks!

Book time is about 3 hours, should not be that difficult. I think you need to remove the side cover on the trans to access the solenoid which is mounted on the valve body.

That's what I've been reading... Shouldn't be too hard...

It's a $25 part... Which is way better than her first thought of get a new car :rolf

i had to do one on a older cavi, and it took about 30 minutes. just had to jack up car, remove left front tire, and take the pan off through the opening. the tcc is right there.

3 speed is not that bad.
Just take the side pan off it's right there.
Sometimes the GM one is better cause it comes with the internal wiring as well if you need it.
It's the 4 speed trans's that are alot harder.
