Or at least these guys think so. Here is a sneak peak video clip of a pro-street 65 Impala being constructed at OTE design and fabrication to debut in the streets of Milwaukee this summer. Yes I said streets, everything works on this car headlights, flashers, etc.

I was never a fan of the early pro-street fad...for many then it was much like today's "Rice" in that there were these extremely capable looking cars that weren't all that capable.

I remeber hot-rod, who had a disdain for pro-street for a while, took 5 nationally prominent show cars (prominent by virtue of their show wins etc) whose owners were willing to flog their cars and ran them at the track. While one was in the low 11's, two others were high 12's-mid 13's, another mid 14's, and another broke.

Many pro-street cars then would carry just bone-stock, but very dressy engines...or engines with all the go fast looking parts (tunnel rams, big long tube headers, dual quad carbs) but otherwise bone stock long block...

Pro-street is cool when done right though...and by right I mean built for speed :thumbsup

Alky all the way. :thumbsup

Is it fast? It's built to be very fast. When will it run down a track? Don't know.

They fired it about three or four times during the show. I would have to say about every hour and a half starting at 11am.

I was wondering if this car ended up visiting the track this year?? I am dying to hear how it ran on alky - if I remember right this car was 100% methanol, something I am interested in learning more about. :durr Did they list the specs of the engine anywhere for this car?? I'm wondering what type of compression it had specifically.. Thanks guys,
