Where are some good places to purchase one? Online vs. local store?

Burlington RV is where i get my towing stuff from. They might not be the cheapest, but have an awesome store and were very nice.

Berger's Hitching Center (or Berger's Auto Sales) in Milwaukee. I can't guarantee that Tom will be the cheapest, but they do a good job, and install hitches for a lot of local dealers.

You know you can't put a hitch on your bike, you won't have it that long.

If you're going to do it yourself... find it on fleabay (stack it with bing cashback), Summit, or Jegs... or go to Blain's when they're having their 10% off Curt sale (like they have right now through May 2nd). Blain's also have their Hopkins wiring crap on sale for 10% off. Not as good as their periodic 20% off but still better than Wallyworld and you're supporting a Cheesehead business.

If you're going to take it somewhere I'd go to Automotive Engine Rebuilders. I've seen some of their work on some of the people at my place of employment and they have attention to detail.
