Sold a bunch of crap that was collecting dust around the house and rolled it into a ginormous fish tank. Was previously a saltwater reef tank, took an awful lot of elbow grease to clean!

Tank dimensions are 96"L x 30"H x 24"D. It is acrylic with a center overflow, still need to put some of the panels back on and install the hood. Built a budget sump setup with a 32 gallon rubbermaid container, mag drive 950 pump, a sterlite 3 drawer tray with ceramic/scrubbies for media. It's been running for a couple weeks now and with the help of some rocks, media and a couple fish from my other tank, it's ready for some fish.

Planning on adding an arowana as I have always wanted one and would love to get a datnoid (siamese tiger fish) ,that is if I can find any around here. Probably going to move my other red bay snook over to this tank as they can grow 14"+.

I'll add pics as I finish putting it together and get some new inhabitants.

Yeah not much to see yet, heading to aquatics unlimited today.
Probably going to start with a small jardini aro they have there. They have a large one but it's $250:stare and is not real friendly. Hoping raising one from small with other fish will be okay, but it is a crapshoot with them.

There is a tigerfish (I believe) at the fish store on 76th and Oklahoma. I was there a couple weeks ago getting some Gold Barbs and I saw one in the 55g right inside the front door.

Very nice! I used to keep a couple of marine tanks, never got too into reef setups though (I'm not rich enough for that). I did have a few triggerfish that were very cool, and always wanted a harlequin tusk.

Current stock list
-8" silver arowana
-5" red bay snook
-4.5" siamese tiger(widebar datnoid)
-3.5" peacock bass
-7" synodontis cat

Started with a small jardini aro, but I could not get the guy to eat and ended up starving himself to death:crying

Picked up the silver last weekend from the fish factory on 92nd and oklahoma.
This guy is eating like a champ.

I added a big piece of driftwood and has tinted the water so much I really can't get any good pics. Going to change out some more water and wire up the t5 lights tomorrow. So far this has been one of the worst photography threads, I will try to redeem myself:D
