Bullitt is a 1968 Film starring Steve McQueen. Some of the best car chases ever are in this movie with a black Dodge Charger and Steve McQueen's (Officer Frank Bullitt) DHG (Dark Highland Green) Bullitt.

The S197 platform which debut in late 2004 as a 2005 model year introduced the SE (special edition) Mustang Bullitt in 2008. This was also an SE in 2001 on the New Edge SN95 Mustang platform.

Major differences from the GT Mustang in 2008 were:
Exterior:

Dark Highland Green paint (black is also available)
Standard Mustang GT front and rear fascia
Black mesh grill devoid of chrome pony and accented with satin aluminum strip that represents the grill from 1968
Unique 3.5 inch dual exhaust tips (http://www.musclecardrive.com/specs/ford/2008-ford-mustang-bullitt.php#)
Dark Argent Gray painted brake calipers
Aluminum Euroflange wheels
Original 1968 charcoal satin wheel finish
Wheels use 235/50ZR 18 inch BFG G-Force T/A KDWS tires
Interior:

Charcoal black leather and satin metallic trim
Satin aluminum bezels
Satin aluminum shift ball
Aluminum pedal covers
Clean and simple styling - no emblems
Seats are patterned from the Shelby GT500 (http://www.musclecardrive.com/specs/ford/2008-ford-mustang-bullitt.php#) and use soy based foam made partially of renewable content
Engine:

4.6 L 3- Valve OHC V8
315 hp at 6000rpm
325 foot pounds of torque at 4250rpm
Engine calibration is designed to offer snappier throttle feel and acceleration
Tremec 5-Speed manual transmission specifically designed for the 2008 Bullitt
First open element air filter in a factory produced mustang
Intake is tucked behind drivers headlight
Hood liner was modified to ensure good seal and to keep fresh cool air feeding the engine
Engine uses adaptive spark ignition system (new for 2008)
Premium fuel is to be used but the ECM will adapt for regular
Custom designed exhaust system with new H pipe setup
All new mufflers using 3.5 inch chrome tips and maximize horsepower while providing a powerful exhaust tone
Chassis:

3.73 Gears
Stock Mustang GT shocks and struts were swapped out for new units that allowed engineers to dial in a more aggressive driving dynamic while retaining good balance
Tower to tower brace
All new front brake pads while rear pads come from GT500

Pretty much the best looking S197 in the world right there!! Great looking shots too, i'm a fan of dark green and those shots really do look great as they made the color pop nicely! Thats seems to be a hard thing to do for most photgraphers is to capture the actual color representation.

Jeff, these pictures do nothing but dissappoint me in the fact that you own a Ford. Get a real car.

J/K! Looks good man, keep it clean!

I think he was preturbed in because of the wheel hop and one wheel peel in the actual video, not much has changed 40 years later :goof

I wonder why the 68 has the 1/4 window louvers and the S197 does not?

Lowering it would be nice and a front spoiler maybe?

Nice looking car!
