Heres a pic...Unsure if i have to untighten the large bolt at the tensioner or not?<a href="http://s258.photobucket.com/albums/hh266/wiedower/?action=view&current=alt.jpg" target="_blank"><img src="http://i258.photobucket.com/albums/hh266/wiedower/alt.jpg" border="0" alt="Photobucket"></a>

put a socket on that lower pulley nut with the rachet turn left to lift up on the tensioner. Should lift really easily.

Most rebuilts are Motorcraft stamped cases.

Alternators are easy as sin to swap out. I did one in my F-150 which is the same, in a pissed off customers parking lot in the dead of December. 25 minutes tops.

Just remember to have a fully charged battery when you swap out the Alt so you don't burn out the voltage regulator on start up.
