ehhh i dont think sooo, even a 3500 isnt really "big" enough... but i wanna keep it streetable and such.... its not a high hp car so im sure it wont flash very high... and i dont have a transbrake or line lock sooo i need atleast a 3500

Midwest converters has a pretty good deal going and you can get a 3500 for a pretty good price. I have a midwest in mine and it has worked flawlessly. Just an FYI

i loved my Yank TP4400

loose as hell for the racing, but still a lock up converter for the highway and still got stock mileage, haha

agreed, i think tci makes one for like $450... the only concern is it says from 2800-3500 rpms.... i know the more power and the heavier the car is, the higher itll stall... i would want it too be atleast 3500rpms soooo maybe ill have to call and see what they can tell me about it.............

vigilante 3200 stall. acts more like a 3500 behind a cammed car at 3400lbs. well built, LOTS of people have used them. worked great on a 100 shot in my old red '98 Z.

can be found for $500 slightly used

If time wasnt of concern, watching LS1tech for the one your after would be best to get a GOOD converter at the price your after.

However on the devils advocate side, i might steer twoard the cheaper brands because its just a matter of when for the stock trans to go cow shit and fill the converter full of shit. Not to mention you auto f car guys have a double threat, when that 10 bolt blows up, it takes the trans with it. Something to do with the sudden loss of tension and the shock is like turning a blender on inside the trans, just ask crawlin and lotsa about that one hahah

thanks for the input tom... and yea going the cheap route because you couldnt have said it anybetter than i could.... and i like to see how far I CAN TAKE the stock shit befor it breaks. i know other people have broken shit with less HP but theres also people with more HP runing some somewhat stock shit.... either way if it blows the day i take it out... great, then ill just fab in the 9in i got sitting under the saturn.... and when the tranny blows ill pick up a junk yard th400 and build it myself! anyway enough talk, i got the injectors today but im going to have to wait for the tune because i definatly need the stall in the car and most importantly the shift kit. whenever i get the stall(hopefully have it ordered tomorrow) ill be installing the shift kit aswell. then i should be ready too go!

I still have my Yank 3600SS that needs to be sent in for repair. I think they said it was either $250-$300 to repair like new. I would sell it to you for $100 just to get rid of it.
