family of coons living in my chimney!?

but the actual animal... weve got this decorative enclosure around our chimney pipe that they chewed a hole into and are now currently residing. i guess a guy from animal control will be here later today to take care of the problem...

well see what happens... if im up at the time... maybe ill snap some pictures.

Coons suck. My sister had a mom and baby hiding out in her attic last fall.

my parents had them 10+ years ago, also in the chimney. They called a pest control guy, he set a few live traps, used some peanut butter on a sliice of bread to catch them.

BAD idea! If they made a nest in there there will be no where for the smoke to go except into your house.

got them out... looks like they chewed a hole into the roof (what the guy said) and was in between the joists in the roof... what a PITA to get them out...

I helped a bunch of baby raccoons cross the road once. They were so cute!

But I suppose being in your house isn't a good thing. Glad they were removed in a more humane manner. (:
