So, I go to take the girlfriend home today, open the doors on the Belv... and what comes flying out? A few bees. Apparently the Belv is jealous of my dad's Super Bee and started a hive of it's own! Silly car.
Thankfully (I think?) I was taking the car over by my dad's tomorrow to do interior work anyway (Caddy leather buckets and new carpet!)... now one of my tasks will include hosing out the doors with bee killer. Apparently there used to be a hive in the car, noticed a few dead bees on the rear deck but never thought much of it (car sat outside for like 2 summers), my dad hosed it out once before but must not have gotten them all. Either that or it's just so bee-utiful that more bees want to make a nest.
Either way, my girlfriend is terrified of bees (she may be allergic, her grandma was and she's never been stung to find out) so needless to say we didn't go anywhere.
