Thought I would post this up for those that might find the fight later down the road. Some of us own some "older" bikes that have decals on them that may have been there a while and if you are going to take them off that damned adhesive can be a bear to get off.

With my bike I tried goo gone, 3m adhesive remover, wd40, denatured alcohol and that crap just wasnt going to come off. The local bumper to bumper store sold a wheel that others mentioned on other boards that goes into your drill.

This thing was $30 but worth every penny in the hassle/time it saved me. Simply peels the junk right off and didnt harm the clear coat at all. Looking forward to using this on other projects.

Its made by motor guard and is called magna stripe eliminator

Is it easier than a heatgun?

we used those a the graphics shop i used to work at.

was easier but was messier. But this was on old ass graphics on work trucks. I think it's better than the heatgun unless the graphics are semi recent

^Oh yeah its messy. Puts little pink buggers all over the place. I guess no different than erasing a sentence from a piece of paper and blowing that shit off your desk in school

They are often called eraser wheels. I used one when I removed the stripes from my SS.
They work great!!! It seems like it would hurt the paint, but it doesn't.

I was affraid to try that due to the fear of hurting the paint. But after fighting with a set of racing stripes for about 60 hours, I sure wish I would have.
