Got my ass kicked by the waterpark I went to in the Dells. I admit, I'm not in the greatest shape, but I don't think thta mattered much. I stayed at Glacier Canyon resort, part of Wilderness Resort. We had a good time in general...

The worst I got my butt kiced was by the Hurricane, one of those toilet-bowl type slides... first, it's like 4 stories up... so the stairs were a killer... then, I got flung off the raft at one point and smashed my side into the ride... managed to pull myself back on the raft though lol...

The wave pool kicked my ass too... I've never experienced such strong waves in a pool. I got knocked on my ass at least 5 times, and then the whole "next wave is coming, gotta breathe" deal... crap!

One thing I must recommend however is the Comedy Club. You MUST go to the adult hypnosis show (the late show)... OMFG I laughed my ass off so did my girlfriend. I'm not going to give away what they had these poor people doing (it's audience participation, too) but I sure am glad I didn't volunteer to go on stage like I was going to. I was skeptical about hypnosis before, but my skepticism is gone... I started following along when the people on stage were getting hypnotised... it felt CRAZY. I stopped it myself before I actually went all the way through into hypnosis.

Also found out I really like playing BlackJack at the casino...

Yes, I do firmly believe I could've been hypnotised. I felt myself falling into some sort of crazy state of conciousness, I broke it by breaking my concentration (the key to becoming hypnotised is concentration).

At the blackjack tables... I was up for a while. A long while. Should've walked... but you know how that goes. At least I had a good time donating. The dealers I had were good, the one older lady was awesome and fun.

It's nothing at all like you see on TV, seriously.

I'd really like to go again (the adult show is every weekend), they have over 300 different things they do with the people, so every show is different (not to mention, the people onstage are different every tme too).

Maybe one of these weekends when you're off we can all make a trip up there, and you can go onstage!

but if you want, i will go with you next time you go.

They had a guy hypnotize a bunch of people during halftime at a Bucks game not to long ago. He had them dancing around and doing funny shit. IDK I'd have to do it to believe it.

I love the Dells, can't wait to go back this summer.

Hypnosis in the sense that you enter some altered consciousness in which all these unknown pathways and controls to the brain are exposed and thus you have the remarkable powers and abilities, and this exceptional ability to take suggestion, then yes...hypnosis IS bs.

Hypnosis works on people who believe it will work on them...and it works even better on people who WANT it to work on them...hence these acts use volunteers, people who'll willingly go up to be made to look like a fool.

And usually many, even extroverts would be mortified to simply say and do the things that the hypnotist suggest to them...but you know what? They now have a cover...they're hypnotized! I said that? I did that!?! Oh wow...well, I was hypnotized!

Basically you get people who want to be up there, who are already okay with the idea of acting like fools, and accept that they can be hypnotized. Even if they weren't hypnotized (accepting the rest were), they'd still simply "go along" with the act since they don't want to be singled out from the group that's up there.

It's just a weird mix of peer pressure, exhibitionism, and suggestibility all mixed with comedy that you see going on up there.

IDK, I agree you have to believe you can be, and I believe you have to want to... but at the same time, there were a few people who walked off stage after the hypnotism started and said they weren't feeling it.

One of the people said it felt like they were dreaming.

Yeah that show is def worth seeing, I actually went to High School with the owners son so we went to the show quite a few times and no matter what it always had some different aspects and always had everyone laughing.

The hypnotist has a pretty imaginative mind lol

Yeah the Dells is awesome. :punch: I hate the Dells. Maybe because I used to live close to the Dells and was there a lot. But I hate going there in the summer. The attractions are cool if you don't have to deal with dumbshits and most people that are driving around that town in the summer think that a vacation means not just one from work but also from knowing how to drive. Oh and the police department is a f*cking joke. :flipoff2:

*rant over carry on*

I like going there in the off season and hanging out with my friends but during the summer my friends can come here.

Yeah the police dept is a joke, without a doubt. They still harass me every time I go back even after being back in mil for 3 years.

Went their a couple weeks ago and got pulled over by two squads for no reason whatsoever - the said my car matched a description... I cant drive through town in the caddy at all on a slow day.
