My 2000 Z28 project car

[GOOD LS1]

Here's a couple pictures of my Z28 we salvaged from a part out gone bad. The car is going to be completely disassembled and made to look mint once again. So far we've gutted the interior and engine bay in prep for paint to match the exterior color. Looks like this car will become a sponsored drag car for West Bend Dyno Tuning LLC. I hope to have the car at GLD regularly and compete on a national level at the LSX Shootout and LS Fest. It is a 6 speed manual for the time being, focusing on getting the car up and running at the moment with big power changes coming within the next year.

All i did was really instruct where hidden bolts where and how to use some of the tools needed to get it this far. Next on the list is final sanding and prep of the engine bay followed by paint and clear. Then the engine bay can be reassembled as well as the interior at that point. The fire wall needs to be painted before the A/C box can go back in. I think the car will end up going the TH400 3xx CI LSx with an F1C Procharger route when it gets to its racing career. We want it to be a nice, clean presentable car first and foremost. It will be full weight with functioning A/C, cruise, ABS and a factory catback haha

he just had a 3400lb forged 348 going REALLY low 9's with the f1a. I think he tickled he 8's with it, but was definitely low 9's even with the D1sc on there.

Go to "advanced search" on ls1tech.com and do a search for:

and have it in the forced induction section

you'll find he had posted a ton of updates and info. Nice guy too. He was from around here and early chitown MFBA group

He had the black trans am that Dennis Equitz bought that was a 25.5 and now he has a Firehawk that he put a D1sc on and it's going 9.20's(on a 275 radial and 16psi i think the post said)

I have a manual center console, T56 brace thing, clutch master cylinder, and a clutch line (off a 2002) if you need it. It came with the T56/Clutch/computer I bought off LS1tech. I don't need the stuff.

It will be a header only car this year im sure hahah. Although it hate to do things twice so hopefully a compelling story can be made so she will decide to do the hot-rod mods right away like a tubular k-member etc...

i think she just wants to drive mostly right now.

Tom, don't know how far "into the market" you are, but I got a buddy in chitown that is selling this stuff possibly -

D1SC head unit
SDCE 8 rib set up. Have mutliple pulley's for the blower and a spare belt
Vortec Mondo bypass valve
All custom made piping, powder coated black
4" core front mount intercooler
All silicone and what not of course for pipes and IC


It's from Silver Ghost's car(sean). The silver with the red/purple flames that's been in GM High Tech before. He's got a TH400 in it right now and was also possibly thinking of switching to a T56.

So if you were looking for that and had all the T56 parts maybe you can work deals out.

Just thought I'd toss that out there.

Yeah i saw all that on LS1tech. Cant afford it right now, the money has to be spent on getting it up and running first, i still need all the accesories for the front of the engine yet etc...
