Just placed my order for a new x pipe so I dont need the factory mid pipe after wed. I am curious where I can go to sell the used mid pipe with the cats as well as some other scrap metal and get rid of some old exhaust components. Or if anyone has an interest in them for that matter, since the cats and mid pipe that are on there are still in good shape.

I know the small ford cats don't fetch too much.

Ya that price is for GM cats usually found on LS1 fbodies. No idea what he'd pay for a ford setup.

Just trying to recoup some of the cost of the new setup.

I took the one off my dodge ram into the place on Whitnal behind Ladish. I got $10 for it, he said other places pay a little more, they paid by weight.

Bit of info, the guy on ls1tech supposedly takes the GM ones to a place that extracts "Rhodium" from them.

Convertes pay big money if you do it by weight. Precious metal extraction has become easier then in the past. Converter theft it a big problem in the south. I remember reading last year that some Texas dealers we reporting converters cut off brand new trucks wit sawz alls. Some 300 cats in one night.

Wholy shit!!! I know when I sold mine the guy paid me 125 shipped for me. However that was 3 years ago and its down to 75 for a set shipped.

Between March 18 and 20, five catalytic converters, worth between $12,000 and $15,000, were stolen from cars parked at the Rockingham Toyota dealership.

How the heck are 5 catalytic converts worth 12 to 15 thousand???

Last fall when I took one in they said the price was way down from the high, not sure how far it may have bounced back.
