well there comes a time when you must decide on how far you want to take it.. the delema is to run race gas or not to run race gas.. I'm going to put it to a poll. I can't decide. I'd just end up ordering 55g drums from Chad and store them in my garage. Dont' know now safe that is. I'd probably have to get some ventilation going or something.

so vote on it.. yes or no.. what are your thoughts.
Remember it's not a race car, and it wont' see the track but I still want it fast.

How fast are we talking? Seems like a waste of money to me. You can go plenty fast without race gas.

I vote yes, IF you tune it to use it. No sense in running high octane if you don't take advantage of it. I don't think it's worth it just to "be safe" on a 93 tune.

I vote no, I don't remember how fast you are now but I don't think its fast enough to need race gas. Besides, then its a race car...

I said yes, because I am assuming that you are going to be running a little more boost than 8 psi

Meth is cheaper than race gas.

Is race gas cheap these days or something? I'd go the E85 route since there's a station near you before I went to race gas. Wouldn't take long for the E85 vs drum to pay for new injectors.

E85 is stupid you'd still be cheaper with meth.

Don't do it, pump gas can make a ton of power.

You wont make enough power to warrant race gas... Unless you north of 18 psi and or running gobs of timing, it is a waste and will probably make it slower on the current setup.

Are you facturing in the smell factor?

The "race gas calogne" that would follow you everywhere would come free with the use of it.

If only it was an afridiziac (sp?) for women :-/

Race gas smells good.

I don't know how far you are pushing your setup, but I voted YES, because you SHOULD push your setup to maximize its power potential on race fuel.

I prefer MS109 for unleaded, or VP Q16 for boosted applications, VP NOS for Nitrous applications, and VP IMPORT for extremely high boost levels and super-high power output.

It is the best smelling stuff out there also! Q16 is my cologne!

There is no reason whatsoever to run race fuel in a street car. If you dont car about going on a cruise and being able to pull up to a pump, go for it.

i can do alot of cruising on race gas almost 360 miles on a tank.the pump gas tune is nice to have tho in case i go on real long trips

Yeah, but on a STREET car that is being driven mildly enough to get 22+mpg, what is the point of needing to run race gas? You can get the same mpg for alot less money without a huge drop in performance.

I think to get any legitimate answer to this question people would need to know what your building...

compromise and do e85. can get it at certain stations, higher octane than pump gas.
