Have brand new replacement core support but it's for 90+. I also have the bumper and bumper supports that fit it.

Well you was wrong. They changed them in '90.

What is the difference, because the one I put on the 93 welded up just fine, infact the spot welds were in the same spot............

Nope. Dimensionally they are the same. The impact absorbers changed in 90 which changed the way they are mounted. You can use an 80's on a 90's and vise versa but you have to also use the correct impact absorbers. Also, the 90's replacement support comes with reinforcements pre-installed. With the 80's support you have to buy the reinforcements and weld them in, it ends up costing you more.

And '90 was the first year for airbags. So '90+ have provisions for impact sensors.

Yeah, I did end up swapping them out from the messed up core to the good one, since the reinforcements and absorbers were still good (the car was hit on the right front, and the frame rails were moved over about 3 inches over from the strut towers forward)

I cant remember if I used them or not.........I think I did, since I dont remember the airbag light going off, I think they were just bolt in..........it has been a while since I had the car.
