I have an iPod and an iPhone. I would like an adapter to hook to my 2006 Ford Mustang factory stereo. I have the cheapo (single disc) in-dash unit sold with the base model Mustang.

I have seen some new cars with the Bluetooth enabled communication from the iPhone to the car, which would be the best option.

I did have an FM modulated unit in the past, but the wiring was made of some cheap crap and the signal went to hell last year. I bought a newer one only to find out the FCC tightened up the laws in the past 3 years and they don't sound good at all.

Any suggestions? Any dealers stock any of this stuff? Looking to spend less than a new deck, but if not possible, I'll just buy a Dual DIN Nav unit at bonus time.

Uses the wiring that would have been used for a factory disc changer. Control the Ipod just as you would control anything else through the factory stereo.

I did the double din unit in Coops mustang - very easy to do that, too.

Peripheral Electronics made a kit called Ipod2Go which was REALLY slick but I'm not sure if they have one for the 05+ mustang. Philly-O might have some other suggestions.

Nice, Thanks!

Now does anybody local sell this? I would love to support a local Vendor.

Most car audio shops will have it. Peripheral makes all the hits that are used to integrate with Bose stereos and Onstar systems, so it's pretty common.

I'm sure Project Two has it or can get it.

I have this one (http://www.crutchfield.com/p_581PA11F1/USA-SPEC-iPod-Interface.html?tp=120) in my truck. It works similar to the others where it uses what would be the CD changer input. Works well.

Try www.usaspec.com we always try to use their product over the peripheral adaptors. IMO the USAspec adaptors work the best. We can order it for you if you like, they typically run $139 - $159 plus $80-160 for install depending where it gets hooked into the car.
