This might be a repost, i searched for it but couldnt find it, so im posting it.

Basicly its a storey of a dude who entered a cheap ass 2wd car into a proffessional rally competition via a loop-hole in the rules, and got a podium finish. :thumbsup

The class he raced in is called Rally America, but it has no affiliation with the stateside sanctioning body of the same name. You can find the results (in PDF form, by stage) at www.rallymexico.com. Caswell and Slocum achieved a total time of 5:29:38.4 after penalties, enough for a third-place finish in their class and a hypothetical 23rd if the two men had been competing in WRC.

Still cool but he by no means beat out any of the top dogs.

Yea that is definitely a cool story.
Although just remember the chassis he started with was $500. Not the whole car. Quite a bit went into it after that (granted it still was nowhere near the 400k rally car budgets)
