Just so that everyone is aware -

Ron had asked BCM if he could host our Annual show. June 5th is, in fact, our annual show where we will donate our proceeds to a charity of Holeshot's (Dan) choice. I spoke with him last evening and BCM's chairty for 2010 will be the Make A Wish Foundation. :)

Good choice Dan, and I hope that BCM will come through with our usual donations to help our Make A Wish! All of remember the heart ache that Dan and his family have gone through with respects to his Grandson - lets make sure that we do our part in making sure that no family has to go through a similar situation.

sorry it took so long but i could have got a pig about that size for 1.79lb my price. meaning i drop off the spit to mount it on and i pick it up.. and i will be out of town that weekend. however i would not recommend getting a pig that big. once you hit the 80-90lb point you are just paying for fat.. better off getting a nice 80lb'er and then getting pork shoulders to roast/grill or slow cook for added meat.. it would be cheaper and you would be better off that way or just get the 80lb pig and stuff it with precooked brats/Italians/or whatever sausage you want with kraut and or chicken with kraut...not to mention a 150lb'er will take a good 10-12 hours to cook.... i have done over 100 pig roasts from start to finish..including all the catering of side dishes and other cooking. if i wasn't going out of town i would be more than happy to help. maybe next time.
