I need to replace a piece of glass for the coffee table which was broken during the move. Please post up if you know of a good and reasonable glass shop that is somewhat close to me on Howell Ave & Ryan Rd. I am afraid to know how much this 'oops' will cost......

That is good to hear. This piece of glass does not need to be tempered but is oval in shape, about 3.5' x 2.5'.....

should be cheap,if they temper it it will be stroger and less likely to break, just a s suggestion

I built a custom mirror/cabinet for my bathroom and had 5 glass shelves and a mirror cut for it. I told them the thickness that I wanted for the glass, had the edges rounded and polished and the edges on the mirror beveled. All I had to do was a phone call and I picked it up the next day. I don't remember the price, but I know it was reasonable. I'm certain they would have tempered glass also.

The only aspect I am curious about is how they will know the exact shape of the oval-ish piece needed.....

Might want to make a cardboard template for them or take them the table. A length and width might not get the exact size.
