I've heard from a couple people, that the homes off Root River Parkway in West Allis are getting torn down because of really bad foundation problems? The soil is really soft near the river? I've done a search on google and JSonline for a story but could not verify any source of this rumor.

Haven't heard of this myself, actually there are a bunch of basement problem homes that are being flipped in the parkway that I know if.

Yup, it's true. If you go to the west allis .gov site they have info on it.

Which site is this? I went to this one:

http://www.ci.west-allis.wi.us/plaindefault.htm

Did a search and came up with nothing.

Do you have a link?

Thank you,

Josh

This happened to the homes along Root River in Hales Corners too. On South Root River Pkwy off of Forest Home. They tore those down when I was in HS. I remember breaking into one of the housed after it was condemned and vacant and having a party. The cops came and we had to run.
