Need help opening picture files.....

I have a CD with 12 .JLA and 59 .JLL pictures but cannot open any of them. When I double click on one a message appears stating "Windows cannot open this file blah blah blah". I know very little when it comes to technical computer workings and would appreciate some help.....

File extension lookup says they are VisualPro bmp files, at least the JLA's are. Do you have such a program? If not, might want to google a converter of sorts.

I asked a PC guru friend of mine to figure out this mystery and he said it is a dead end. If anyone has any other ideas please post up, acquiring these pictures will save me a LOT of time.....
