91 Stang Opinion help...Im new..

Hi all...Im basically new here and bought this 91 mustang last fall locally. The stang is mostly all stock except for the 4 inch exhaust not put on by me. I was wondering if you think the hood and spoiler look ok? Should i leave it alone or have the hood and spolier painted red to match? Or does it look ok the way it is? Opinions appreciated! IMO, its just too many colors with the ground effects too. I think all black to match the hood and convert top would look awesome.

Very nice lookin' car. I would lose the blackouts, and paint it the red color. And I would look into a better looking spoiler. Just my opinion.

I've never really cared for the Saleen wing on verts/coupes, looks too big on the trunk. I would paint the black stuff red (not because I'm racist either)lol and get some smoked headlights to replace the covers. Is that exhaust 4" all the way from the headers or just tips? If it is all the way it is most likely hurting your performance, get some 2 1/2" instead.

I agree with painting the hood red like the body. They spoiler has got to go though. A stock spoiler is really the only way to go on a fox body imho.

Stock spoiler or no spoiler and paint the black parts red. That is a nice red color. Lose the headlight covers as well.

If you were itching to change something maybe paint the body kit silver pieces to match the black? Thats if you like the black?

I would just rock it for a while and let your vision play itself out. Nothing like seeing other cars at local shows to give you an idea of what you want and with it being a new to you car it might take a while to figure out what you like versus what you think others might like

agreed do what you want. i was Rice-stang back in the day.. id say paint it red. or paint the ground effects to match hood or just lose the ground effects.but what do i know this was what mine used to look like.:goof

In all for seriousness: ditch the spoiler, head and tail light covers, and ditch the hood. Stock hood with a luggage rack on the trunk. Get a dark red stripe kit for the inlay on the side moldings. Strawberry over Titanium is a hot look.

Can you sell the hood for another hood in red? I like the cowl on Fox bodies. I agree a lower spoiler or none at all is best on verts.

Ok...Ive decided to remove the rear spoiler and hood tonight...Will put original hood back on...I knew something really wasnt right...Thats why i posted...Thanks for all! Look forward to posting here ! Nice Site !

I agree, If you want the blacked out look, Go with the 6 pc smoked headlights or the 1pc smoked headlights they offer now....looks a ton better, and you wont have to worry about them getting ripped off. They also make a set of smoked lx tail lights too to complete the look. Or you could go with the ultra clear headlights, those look good too

I vote paint the hood and wing the same color as the door and keep the gray bottom.. The it will be a very nice looking car..
