It's called Cyclone Grey Metallic as I'm told. It seems there's lots of newer GM pickups and even a saturn SUV I saw the other day that has a very similar color. I've tried the usual places like Napa etc... with no luck. Is this a dealer only thing? Do dealers even sell touchup paint?

Here's a good example with the sun shinning to show bright and dark spots. This isn't my car btw:

That specific color is:

Barbados Mica Metallic Clearcoat - 47U/WA946J (GTO paint code)

(source: http://www.paintscratch.com)

The Saturn has 2 colors that look similar.

The Cyclone Gray Metallic Clearcoat - 12/WA276M - is almost gunmetal looking.

Regardless, you can buy touch up paint from that website as well as the dealership. Depending on the rarity of the color, it might be a special order from satan.

I wonder if a dealership would be cheaper? $15 for only the basecoat.

Check a dealership and bring the paint code in to make 100% sure you get the right color.

I had to get it through the dealer for my camaro, i couldnt locate it anywhere else. It too was around 15$ and was special order. Be sure to have your vin# handy if you end up at the dealer, they cant seem to do anything w/o it.

dealership is almost always a shade off.

Its a bit of a drive but "Buyright" in Racine mixes custom touch ups They sell it in a spray can and in the bottle. Ask for Kevin and tell him, Greg send you. They will color match to the car. Its a GM so it will be PPG which is what they sell.

I bought some touch-up paint at the O'Reilly on HWY 100 for one of my cars last year. Color matched real well for a 10 year old car, and cost around $15 for the can of color and a can of clear. Both were rattle cans.

Not anymore. Their paint can machine broke down last fall and they don't have any plans to fix it. I was just there last week.
