I'm looking for some new wheels for my s10 (5 on 4.75). Want something in a 15" or 16", around 8" wide. Some thing with about 1.5" more back space than stock. Depending on what they are I will probably paint them black so not worried about clear coat pealing. Heres the hard part, looking for something that is kind of open so you can see the nice drilled/slotted rotors and red calipers through them. I like the stock rims but I would need 1.5" spacers in front to make them work with the tire size I'm going to run and I'm not really liking the idea of spacers.

Let me know what you have and what you want for them... pictures would help.

Still looking at d-max trucks, probably not going to happen until the end of summer if anything all depends how the next few months go.

I'll check jegs, I looked on summit and all they ahve are AR and Cragar in the D window steelies.

I'm only doing it because it will make it easier for me to want to keep it a little while longer or sell it. lol.

Heres what I found from Black Rock, The Lobo 950 16x8 has a 5" backspace, waiting to hear back what the back space is on a 16x7. There about $70 each, but looks like some of the discount online places sell them so might beable to do better.

ok kev...hang on a sec...u say it needs 1.5" more backspacing than stock but u could use stock wheels with 1.5" spacers and it'd work? wouldn't u want wheels with 1.5" less backspacing?

Yeah your right, less backspace.

Stock 4x4 s10 rims are 15x7 with 6" of backspace

The Black rock 16x7 has 4" of backspace so it should stick out 2" farther.

They have a 16x8 with 5" of backspace so it still sticks out 2" farther but the inner lip is only out 1" from stock.

Either one would work, guess its just a matter of if a 265/75/R16 looks better on a 7 or 8" rim? Price is the same either way

i wouldn't put 265/75's on a 8" rim. lil too wide of a rim i would think. my rims are only 6" wide. i'm guessing your only getting 6 ply tires though.

Yeah Im leaning twards the 16x7, called and Discount tire can do them for $65 each, free shipping, but it will be a month an a half because they are out of stock

i'd do the 16x7's for that price..the 16x8's will work fine but the rim is prone to curb rash... the manufacturer approved widths are 7-8" rims...but i've put them on 16x9's before and they work...just look ballooney
