just joined the site as ill be moving back to wisconsin this fall. i frequent a few other national sites ie svtp and M1R under the same user name. Current toy is an 03 mach 1. since im lazy ill just give yall the link to my build thread rather than keep on typing.

haha yeah and they need to be facing the front of the car with a pair of hair dryers on the ends of em. when i started building this car i didnt know what direction i wanted to go ie big twin screw or twins so i figured id build the foundation first. as you can see the suspension and most of the rear is done. next up is gonna be the trans (t56 magnum), fuel system, then the motor and twins. ive got another good 25k or so to go on this thing and even then im sure its not gonna be done.

only reason i even went ahead and bought a nitrous kit was to fend off those senior citizens in the vetts while im working through the rest of the car.

the goal here isnt to have a purpose built drag or road course car but rather an all around tons of fun toy.

machin - u i had no idea you were from wisconsin. i remember seeing pics of ur car on M1R and im pretty sure thats part of what got me lookin at the roush body kit. i love the way the Azure Blue looks and the flat black accents.

shoooo32 - yeah one of the things i loved but really hated about the mach when i got it was the ability to make it lose traction in 1st through 3rd and how squirrely it would get when the ass came out from behind you just with stock power levels. so i decided to fix it and build a solid foundation for the power to come.

gtslow - its got a fidanza aluminum flywheel and 3.2 clutch on the trans end. the tr3650 will be getting replaced with a t56 magnum soon enough.

haha still not there yet. got another 5 months in this shit hole and then when i get back i get to go through all the fun that goes along with ACAPing from the army. i need to find a cheepo ford ranger to get me through winter when i get back in the fall. the mustang is going into storage and probably getting a t56 magnum, twin disk, and the fuel system i need. after that ill see where im at money wise and maybe start working on a shortblock.

What he said. Cool car, I'm digging the suspension. One question: why go hardcore and quality road race parts with all the MM and what not, but go with a chinsey drag race k-member? Why not MM (logical with all the rest of the MM parts) or Griggs for the k-member?

i wouldnt exactly call the psr k member chinsey. its not like its aje or upr lol. that k member is a grand and from everything ive read and seen so far it performs very very well all around. ive beaten the car pretty good in the mountains on several trips back to wisconsin from washington and it does very well in the corners coming through the passes.

well with lethal performances triple pump return style fuel system and an mmr mod 950 id like to see 700s on pump and low 800-900 on c16. im no where near ordering my shortblock at this point. still gotta do the trans, twin disk, welded axle tubes, differential cover, cobra fuel tank, possibly 14" brakes w/6 piston calipers, weld in rear sway bar from MM, get rid of my adjustable extreme duty mm lcas for a set of plain exteme mm lcas, sort out how im going to do my 3" side exhaust either to the tips or with cutouts, etc etc etc. haha see ive got alot to do and with me going back to school funds are gonna get a little tight so ill still be modding but its gonna go slower for a while.
